3D Object Framing

At the bespoke framer, we have been tasked with framing multiply different types of 3D objects, which have had personal significance to their owners. Framing objects of unusual shapes, sizes and weights, can be a particular challenge as we have to ensure the item is displayed whilst being preserved without damaging its integrity. We are happy to rise to the challenge and together come up with the best way to frame the item.

During the consultation process we will discuss with you the layout of your item and the best methods of attaching your item within the frame. This is usually to a back mount board which has been strengthened to be able to hold the additional weight of the item. Depending on the depth of the item we will normally advise it is framed in a deeper box frame.

For larger and heavier items, we will suggest using a subframe, this adds strength and stability to the finished frame, as used in the framing of this fireman’s jacket.

Below are some examples of the other more unusual 3D items that we have framed.
